Find out how to use your winnings for good in this ATG commercial directed by Bill Schumacher. Frost Studio created the visual effects, creating all swarms of bees and animating them flying around, chasing people and then obediently returning to their hives. The bees were created in 3D using particle simulations.
Living on a deserted island is not a problem when you have access to all your best TV Shows! In this campaign we follow Terry O’Quinn as he is stranded in Paradise, fortunately with the everyday comfort of having Boxer by his side. Frost Studio did the visual effects including a meteor approaching earth, cleanup work and a coconut message in the sand. Once again we had the joy of working for director Robert Jitzmark and Camp David.
This is one of our favorite projects because it incorporates a lot of different techniques and styles into a solid visual expression that’s both imaginative and fun. At the shoot, a hand model was precisely choreographed using a book full of blank pages. We then created all 3D animation & graphic elements from scratch and finally composited everything together. We are very happy with the result and often use this as an example of “stylized realism”.
Go behind the scenes of the MediaMarkt facilities in this Christmas Campaign! We had the joy of creating lots of the elements that make it extra cool, including the factory environment, a packaging robot and a holographic Christmas tree. A big thank you goes to director Henrik Sundgren at Giants and Toys and to Gangsters!
When making this commercial for roller coaster Helix, the building of the ride was yet to be finished. For this reason the entire commercial, except the people, needed to be created in 3D. With plain and quite rough CAD files as a starting point we created the rollercoaster and environment in 3D. Daniel who directed the film even climbed a crane 10 stories up above the construction site to shoot reference images for us. The final result is an imaginative story, reminiscent of 90’s advertising, that draws the viewer into the world of Helix.
This commercial was shot at Stiller Studios with a Cyclops motion control camera rig. Using motion control allowed us to plan ahead and create the camera in our 3D software before the shoot. It also allowed us to shoot multiple passes with the exact same motion. In post production we built environments using 3D as well as matte paintings, integrating it all with the live action footage in comp. We also created and animated the pack shot.
We had the privilege to create all digital effects for Hugo Lilja’s magnificent half hour film The Unliving. The film was awarded Best European Short Film at Berlin Film Festival and the 1 km Film Award at the Stockholm Film Festival 2010. Our work involved drilling into a zombie head, exterior shots of a wrecked city, gun flashes and underwater-zombie-harpooning. We also went though a ton of shots modifying all zombie eyes to look infected, cloudy and bloodshot in a way that wouldn’t be possible with make up. Most effects were created partially in camera and completed digitally in post production to get the highest level of realism possible within the time and budget constraints.
We at Frost Studio are happy to have worked on this film directed by Marcus Evertsson at Folket Sthlm together with The Line. It’s an eye-catching commercial for Unibet in which we added more players and created a massive stadium crowded with super excited fans – all frozen in time!
Frost Studio were responsible for the visual effects and online of this film for Svenska Skogen, directed by Robert Jitzmark at Camp David. The post production included a building falling down from the sky and a tree trunk being kicked down.
